CONCLUSION

Industrial training is one of the requirements of Malaysian Polytechnic which benefits the students for being able to experienced the real working environment. After undergoing a one-semester internship training starting from 01 JULY 2018 - 15 NOVEMBER 2018, many experiences and knowledge that I have acquired and learned during the period. The industry training have bring a knowledge alive like as we carrying out all the work by ourselves or with cooperation from other party to improve the quality of work.

The curriculum disclosure that has been carried out by the Kota Bharu Polytechnic for the students in the Industrial Training before being awarded a polytechnic diploma is an appropriate move. It is not just a requirement towards excellent learning, but also to open the mind and improve the way of thinking during the training. Armed with the existing knowledge while studying in lectures and workshops, students can use the knowledge by applying it in the working environment provided by the organization firms.

What I've went through during the period has changed the way of my thinking and improved the attitude that I never had before. I am able to be punctual on time for most of the thing, and obey the instruction or rules fixed by the organization. My discipline had improved. Moreover, I had gained more about the real world knowledge which helped to understand better what I had learned in the curriculum and it has enhanced my interest in the field of civil engineering.   

The industry training has increased my confidence in carrying out the tasks and communication skill in the organization. When the first time I went to the organization, I was shy to communicate with others and I have some difficulties to adapt myself in the work. But slowly with the guide from superior, I had overcome my shyness and can communication better with the colleague and contractor as well as with the Head of department.

Lastly, I can conclude that the Industrial Training curriculum has given me a lot of knowledge that has not been learned in the polytechnic. Realizing the importance of the Industrial Training, this program had benefited especially to the students so that every ambition and goal can be achieved more easily. This program also gives me a confidence in my career route and I'm ready to face the challenges and expectations in the work environment. In addition, this program could produce a more professional, skilled and quality workforce to the real world.
